  • Suitability Review (SDR), Language
  • Literacy and Numeracy assessment

Fees and Funding

Eligible students in Western Australia may benefit from several government funding initiatives:

  • Lower Fees, Local Skills Initiative: This program offers a 50% reduction in course fees, capped at $1,200. Concession holders and individuals aged 15–24 may pay as little as $400, plus applicable resource fees.

The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply, such as resource fees and other fees.

Units of Study

To be awarded the Certificate III in Community Services , 12 units must be completed consisting of:

  • 5 core units
  • 7 elective units
Community Services Units - Code 2

You may be able to complete your qualification sooner through formal recognition of your existing skills. This is known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

To receive RPL, we assess your previous work, education and life experiences against recognised qualifications. Applications for RPL can be made prior to enrolling.

If the RPL application is successful, you will be given credits towards your course (meaning you may not have to complete all the units to gain this qualification).
